Good news for those darts fans who consider Sky Sports to be an unnecessary expense – ITV4 will be showing the PDC’s five World Series of Darts events in 2015. The series of events kicks-off with the Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters this Thursday.
The draw has been made and can be found here.
The World Series of Darts will be played over five events this summer…
- Dubai Darts Masters (28-29 May)
- Japan Darts Masters (27-28 June)
- Perth Darts Masters (14-16 August)
- Sydney Darts Masters (20-22 August)
- Aukland Darts Masters (28-30 August)
Now as good as that news is for those with only free-to-view channels, there is a draw back, at least with the first event there is – the coverage will be delayed and you might have to ask your mum if you can stay up late, as coverage on May 28 is 9pm to 1am and on May 29 it’s 10pm to 2am.
We’ll have to wait and see just what time the future events are broadcast and indeed, whether it will be delayed action or not – might have to avoid social media!
If you wanted to see live coverage, you can catch the action on the PDC’s website (www.livepdc.tv).
As far as the Dubai Masters history goes, it’s only been competed for twice and Michael van Gerwen tok both of those wins against Raymond van Barneveld in 2013 and Peter Wright in 2014.
Why not follow the official Dubai Darts Masters Twitter account in the lead up to the event next weekend.
